Blogger block

There have been a million (well, many) things I’ve wanted to blog about recently, and somehow have just not managed to get brain to fingers to keyboard - maybe some cybernetics hacker who is also a Wordpress fan can do a little hardware/software hack to make this process easier?
Actually, the real problem is mental inertia - I want the posts to be interesting and well-written, which sets the bar kind of high. When an idea comes, I’m initially thrilled, but then begin to fret that it’s been done already, I won’t get the details right or something and I wind up not setting it down.
That, in turn, annoys me that I let the idea get away, and puts me in a deeper ‘post funk.’ Eventually, we get to ‘blogger block,’ and the whole enterprise bogs down. Not that we haven’t tripped over fascinating topics recently - a New Scientist piece about behavior-influenced gene expression, an account of the epic defense of her virginity by St. Catherine of Markyate, an interview with Steven Pinker, in which he notes that, globally, violence is actually declining (despite our contemporary media focus), notes about good recipes and a great Trader Joe’s product (peeled garlic cloves in small packages).
How can I let gulker.com readers miss these vital insights? Shame, shame…

When our current crop of corn and lettuce is out, I must try garlic and peppers …
I have grown my own veggies (including, at times, garlic) for years… unfortunately my current physical ‘configuration’ makes peeling garlic particularly difficult. TJ to the rescue…
The amount of new content on the internet always slowed down every time gas took a 50% rise. It just takes energy for things to happen. This time there doesn’t seem to be a comeback & people are staying away from their blogs longer.
Been there many times Chris! I guess you just realise you can’t blog everything…

I recently read a buddy’s post that talks about wanting to write the perfect entry into his blog on lots of things that cross his mind. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect.
For those (two?) of you who actually read my posts here, you may h…
