Readers of this blog know that I am all but obsessed with black and white photography, an art and trade that I’ve practiced much of my adult (and earlier) life.
Of course, the play of light and shadow interest me: beyond that, my shadow, and the way it falls upon the world, also interest me for some reason. Maybe it’s the fleeting aspect of my shadow as I move about, maybe it’s the notion that somehow I change the universal fabric, however briefly, as I block photons. Dunno. Go figure.
Anyway, I’m assembling pictures of my shadow, in a collection named, appropriately ‘Me and My Shadow.’ This shot, from the foyer of my wife’s doctor’s building yesterday, is a candidate for inclusion…
