The Airship Ventures Zeppelin floated by as I waited at the car wash by Town and Country shopping Center in Palo Alto this morning.The sight of this modern recreation of early 20th century aviation technology usually cheers me for some reason… and I can use all the cheer I can get just at the moment. The last time I saw the Zeppelin, I couldn’t pull over fast enough to get camera and telephoto lens out.
This time , I got the camera out of my bag and shot with a too-short zoom (at 55mm), but thanks to the modern miracles of 12 megapixel sensors and affordable, sharp optics (Nikon in this case) we were able to pull this image out of the scene.
