Tonight saw us wrapping up our southern musical adventure in Fayatteville, Arkansas at an event called Songs in the Ville, a round robin of folk singers organized by Effron White, whose music I really like. We had some time to talk with and photograph Effron, which will be the topic of a separate post.
It turns out that all of the musicians, Joel Shewmake (Nashville, TN), Effron, Steve Brooks (Austin, TX) and Shannon Cain (Nashville, TN), have day jobs, and sing and write songs for the joy of it. Counting one photog, that made five people in the room doing what they loved….
